Dear Bromfield Middle School Families,
Happy First Day!
It was a wonderful first day of school today! Our TBS Buddies helped start the day off right by welcoming our 6th graders with individualized signs on their lockers. The positive energy was palpable throughout the building as students found their way to classes and reconnected with peers and staff. Teachers struck an excellent balance between building community and setting students up for success in the year ahead.
 
I want to thank all of our faculty and staff for managing such a smooth and enjoyable opening to the year. I am also very proud of our students for the enthusiasm and engagement they brought to the first day. It was great to have everyone back!
Cell Phone Policy
As you may have heard, Harvard Public Schools has instituted a new policy prohibiting student cell phone use during school hours. While the new districtwide policy does not materially change our expectations at TBMS, where cell phones were already prohibited during the school day, it was nonetheless great to see zero violations all day today. Well done, students!

District-Wide Student Handbook
The district has transitioned to a district-wide student handbook for all schools. This handbook provides important information, policies, and expectations for students and families across the district. Families can access the handbook on the district website. Please take a moment to review it and keep it as a helpful reference throughout the school year.
Curriculum Night - September 17
Please mark your calendars for TBMS Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 17, 5:30-7:30 PM. Curriculum Night is an opportunity for parents and caregivers to meet their child’s teachers, learn more about the classes and learning experiences ahead this year, and get a better sense of what a typical day looks like for our students at TBMS.
We look forward to welcoming families back to the building and sharing a little of what your children experience here each day. More information about the evening’s schedule and logistics will be shared soon.
